It's Almost Time!

At the end of each summer I find myself feeling like a child on Christmas Eve, filled with such excitement for the new school year to begin. I always love the weeks leading up to the first day of school as I am working in the classroom. While I change the room to prepare for new students, I remember those who I had the gift of teaching the year before. Then I wonder what my new students will be like as I write their names on their "new first grade desks". It's bittersweet to remove a name from last year and replace it with a new one. As a teacher, you become so invested in the lives you become a part of , so it is hard to let them go on to the next grade! Yet it is so exciting that educators get to start fresh each fall with a new group of lives to touch. I am so blessed to have the opportunity to teach! One more week until a new journey starts with a new group- I can't wait!
