Finally we meet!
Today was a GREAT day! Not only was a brave enough to venture out of the house with Hannah (to my parent's house), but I was finally able to meet my sweet new class! It was so much fun to put names with faces, get precious hugs, and see their adorable personalities. They are so much fun!
I have been wondering what it will be like to spend my days without Baby Hannah, but today gave me such confidence that it will be fine- more than fine! Baby Hannah is my heart, but teaching is my passion! Being in the classroom today and meeting the class filled my heart with joy!
I LOVE BUFORD! I get the best of both worlds. I will have the comfort of having Hannah right across the hall in employee childcare (such a blessing), AND I get to spend each day doing what I love- teaching my sweet first graders. It is going to be a great year!
I enjoyed meeting you all today, and I can't wait to see you again soon! :) Have a great weekend!
Love,
Mrs. Low

Happy New School Year 2012-2013
Welcome to first grade! I am excited to meet you! We are going to have a wonderful year!
I know you might be nervous about the first day of school tomorrow... it might make you feel better to know that your TEACHERS are just as nervous as YOU!
Every year, your teachers' tummies are filled with butterflies about the first day of school. We have spent weeks getting our classrooms ready, carefully written your names on your name tags (sometimes several times until they look just right), planned the first day activities down to the minute, arranged and re-arranged the desks, and dreamed about what their new class will be like. The first day will be such a great day! You will meet new friends, learn what 1st grade will be like, and do so many fun things. You won't even have homework.... but your parents will! :)
So don't be nervous! In the words of Junie B., you are a first grader, AT LAST!
I can't wait to meet you soon! Have a great first day!

Mrs. Low
